The proposal will introduce unwanted complexity. The proposed  titles are long and cumbersome. Further, not being even compulsory seems to defeat the whole object. They will also blur the difference between Associates and Fellows and pose unnecessary questions about an FSA’s status for example.

The proposal won’t help admittance to wider fields, which will remain conditional on proving one’s competence. Further, actuarial competency is dictated by work quality, not title.
